English children’s picture book by Frances Ward illustrated by the French female artist Maggie Salcedo (=ps. of Marguerite Séligmann-Lui, 1890-1959). – Oval portion of front-wr. cut out, early 20th-cent. annotation in black ink (dated 1912) on half-title, occ. sl. foxed/ browned (due to off-setting by the illustrations), but nevertheless in an exceptionally well-preserved condition.
