ENGLISH ENCAUSTIC STYLE BLACK-GLAZED EARTHENWARE PORTLAND VASE late 19th Century, unmarked, possibly Samuel Alcock, in the style of the Barberini-Portland vase, printed in iron-red with classical figures, Cupid in flight and a serpent, the underside with a figure wearing a Phrygian cap, the rims and handles enriched in gilt, h: 10 1/4 in.
