ENGLISH FULL BODY STEEL SUIT OF ARMOR, 19TH C. H 63", W 28", D 16"

Full body steel suit of armor. Comprising a helmet with visor and bevor, pauldrons, a breastplate with attached tassets, rerebraces, couters, vambraces and fingered gauntlets. Leg armor consists of cuisse, greaves and sabatons constructed together. Presented on a wooden display stand. This lot also includes a separate steel lobster gauntlet and a pair of couters. Purchased by the consignor in England.
Condition: Pitting with points of surface rusting throughout. One of the plates on the left middle finger is missing. The additional lobster gauntlet and couters both have rusting.
