Condition Report:
There are some small chips to the extreme edges of the work, notably to the lower edge. The panel has previously split across the lower section, and has since been reattached with canvas to the revers. The crack has been infilled, and inspection under UV light reveals some further enhancements and infilling to the craquelure around the beak of the bird, as well as other scattered spots of retouching to the background of the work. The varnish has discoloured overall with age.
