Examined in the frame. Oil on canvas, lined. Generally fair condition, aside from surface dirt and yellowed varnish; a few sparse accretions; isolated tiny dents with minor associated loss near the edges; scattered faint craquelure; and stretcher bar marks faintly visible along all four edges. Under UV: an area of older, widely scattered brushy retouches to floor and background, with a few more finely applied dashes on the dogs. Scattered dots and feathery dashes of inpainting in the upper background, some to address prior craquelure. Offered in a green and cream frame with classical motifs.
