Condition Report:
Does not appear to have been lined. The picture has a thick layer of surface dirt and varnish. Surface abrasions throughout. A horizontal tear in the canvas to the sitter's left shoulder approx. 4cm long. Stretcher marks and surface cracking visible. It is presented in a gilt-wood an composition frame which has numerous losses and has been later gold painted.
