Walnut and mahogany case. Bonnet with broken arch pediment, full columns at sides and an arched glazed dial door. Gothic arched pendulum door. Base with raised moldings and flat bracket feet. Painted Roman numeral dial with scene of a Scotsman, dog and castle in lunette, and Scottish landscapes at corners. Face signed "J.M. Mercer Appleton". Height 92.75". Width 20". Depth 9.5". Includes weights and pendulum.
