With Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, masterfully inlaid throughout with a geometric design using mother-of-pearl and ebony. With ivory detail to headstock and tortoise-shell scratchplate inlay beneath soundhole. Housed in a Brazilian rosewood coffin shaped case. Signed in calligraphic writing to interior "Guiot / 1847'.

Condition: overall condition good. surface scratches to front consistent with age and use. Small repairs to left hand corner of tortoiseshell inlay. A small crack to back lower body. Evidence of neck being reset visible and associated damage to fingerboard. Repaired crack to lower right hand curve of the side. Repair visible to inlay banding on side. Wear to interior of case and surface scracthes overall and base of case worn with losses to cloth binding.
