Signed in pencil, lower right. 1932.A very good impression.Fiene, born in Germany, came to the United States in 1912, and settled in New York City, spending the majority of his life and career split between there and Woodstock. Known for his scenes of New York, during the WPA years, Fiene worked as a muralist on projects such as the Canton, Massachusetts Post Office and a set of four oil on canvas murals for The Stewart Lee Udall Department of the Interior in Washington, DC.
