Condition Report:
The canvas has not been lined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher which is providing stable support.
There is one faint stretcher mark visible along the upper edge. The paint surface is clean and stable.
Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals some minor cosmetic retouching, including: - some small spots and lines along the lower and left framing edges;
- some fine inpainting in the two figures; and
- some isolated, small spots in the sky.
Some other areas of fluorescence in the sky could be associated to retouching addressing some thinness to the paint, following a surface clean.
Otherwise, this work presents very well and is in good condition.

Presented in a gilt frame.
