Antique porcelain plate by Ernst Wahliss
Presumably from the Wahliss porcelain house in Vienna, founded in 1863.
Diameter ca. 48.5 cm, height approx. 5 cm
On the back there is a handwritten inscription in red: “Wahliss Wien”.
Theme: Landscape with birds, flowers and butterflies.
The dating is probably in the mid to late 19th century.
The size of approx. 48.5 cm
and the detailed hand painting or gold painting.
Other surviving works by Ernst Wahliss are smaller and feature dominant colors such as gold, red and white. On closer inspection, beautiful color accents of blue and purple can also be seen.
