19th Century. Gold gilt etching to fullered blade depicting traditional military patriotic symbols. Single edged blade, with decorated brass guard hilt and pommel. Blade is marked on the ricasso with pictorial hallmark for the Solingen blade maker Horstmann & Sons Philadelphia.
