Eugene Marioton was born in Paris in 1857 and died in 1933. He was a well-known sculptor of allegorical subjects and a prolific medal engraver. He regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon starting in 1882, including a cast of ‘La Force protegeant le Droit' which was exhibited in 1899. See P.
