In 2006, Beidler was granted commission funded by the Library of Congress to make public sculpture commemorating Lewis and Clark crossing the Mississippi at Cairo. More recently, Beidler won the Art Prize 2011 and 2011 UICA award of Grand Rapids, MI. Proceeds will fund his battle with chronic Lyme disease.
