Since the 18th century, Germans have been fascinated with Native American culture, and to this day continue to study and reenact Native American traditions. An exhibition label from the Nassau County Museum of Art (New York) is affixed to this photograph frame verso.

Provenance: The estate of Morton and Estelle Sosland.
In Kansas City, the Sosland family name is synonymous with both giving, and the arts.
