EXOTIC DRONINO METEORITE — EXTRATERRESTRIAL MONOLITHIC SCULPTURE, Iron, ataxite (ungrouped) Ryazan district, Russia

This monolith-like meteorite features what is among the very best examples of Dronino’s singular furrowed texture. This texture, as well as the meteorite’s columnar-like morphology which tapers at both ends, are the result of terrestrialization (exposure to Earth’s elements) and the atypical nickel-rich composition of this meteorite. A pewter to platinum patina envelops the meteorite’s surface. Hewn by forces both on and off Earth this singular, extraterrestrial form appears to levitate above its accompanying custom armature.
