[ translate ]

COMMERCIAL LUGER HOLSTER. Extremely early Model 1900 / 1906 Luger commercial holster, likely produced by Albrecht Kind (Akah). Holster is constructed of brown leather, with the body featuring a spare mag. pouch next to a provision for a cleaning rod. Interior of closure flap feature a pouch for both a loading tool and punch tool, which exhibits a brass closure flap stud (a feature indicative of early Akah mfg.). Closure flap strap secures to a distinctive "D" shaped buckle. Complete with cleaning rod, unmarked loading tool, and punch tool. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting general overall wear, with some light age related craking, light to mild crazing, and some wrinkling. Provision for cleaning rod exhibits a couple of small losses to the stitching. Leather wrapping around "D" buckle is absent. Tools exhibit a gray patina, with the cleaning rod exhibiting some light pitting, and the punch tool exhibiting light surface oxidation. A scarce and seldom seen example of an early commercial Luger holster, that was likely only produced for a few years after New Model Luger production commenced. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of John Eckert. (02-26540-7/MLW). NON-GUN. $1,000-1,500.
