Circa 1907 - 1909 original book page print by Japanese illustrator Genjiro Kataoka ( 1897 - 1924 ) from the Frances Little ( pseudonym for American author Fannie Caldwell ) book entitled "Little Sister Snow". Print image size of 3 1/2" X 5". The book was written as a diary set in 1901 - 1905 of a young missionary kindergarten teacher in Hiroshima, Japan before the Russo-Japanese War. The book also served as an introduction for Americans to Japanese life, little known in the early 20th century. It was a best selling novel the year it was first published. ÂÂ
