Early 1900's Signed Fox Hunt Silhouette
A framed fox hunt cut silhouette & mounted on cream parchment. The scene is in great detail with horses, dogs a fence row & trees with a humorous narrative. The hare they are hunting is hiding in the hedgerow they are jumping. Framed in the traditional black wood with gold liner. There is a tiny signature, Lee Mero, that has also been cut out & attached to the circle around the scene. On the back of the frame is a sticker for M.I. Lusky Jewelry Co. in Nashville, TN. that was burned to the ground in a fire in 1922, dating this silhouette sometime before 1922. Measures 7 1/2" x 6 1/2" framed.
