Early 20th Century Ladies' Clothing, including a blue velvet 1930s sleeveless long dress, with V-shaped neckline to the front and back, matching long sleeve jacket with shawl neck collar; black velvet shoulder cape with a fur trim; a black velvet opera coat with stylish draped and smocked sleeves, smocked collar and waterfall front opening; circa 1940 rust coloured crepe bolero style evening jacket with long sleeves with black sequin and bead decoration; another in purple crepe of wrap style with short sleeves and floral sequin decoration (5)
Condition Report:
. 1930s blue velvet dress and jacket - two small brown stains to the reverse, some seams to skirt have been restricted, or pulling open, fading overall, poss alterations to jacket. Shoulder cape - Later lined with silk, reverse to the neck tie relined - wear to the fur and velvet, alterations and wear; Opera coat - later relined and other possible alterations. Two crepe pieces, have some small stains and bead/sequin loss.
