French walnut fauteuil in the Louis XVI taste, early 20th century, having a chapeau gendarme crest rail centering a pierce carved wreath flanked by oak leaves, over a square back, the turned stiles transitioning to reeded and scrolled arms, the seat having a curved front rail with repeating foliate molding, having a drop-in down filled cushion, upholstered in a tapestry style textile with colorful and whimsical insects including bees, dragonflies, butterflies, and ladybugs, amidst scattered floral tendrils on a cream ground, the whole rising on tapering fluted cylindrical legs terminating to toupie feet, 39.5"h x 24"w x 24.5"d, seat 21"h, arms 24"h.
