Early 20th century sapphire, ruby and diamond brooch.
Designed as a foliate panel, each flower with a circular-shape ruby or sapphire centre, set with old-cut diamonds throughout, length 3.9cm.
Condition Report: Weight approx. 5.3g. Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Metal appears to be discoloured, very slightly bent. Later replacement pin, possibly remodelled. With safety chain attached. Diamonds fairly bright. Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Some diamonds with small nicks. Rubies and sapphires in fair condition. Testing indicating 9ct gold and silver. Tate Ward do not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
