Early American Federal Family Portrait Painting

This finely-executed work is from the early-1800s Federal period. American in origin, it appears to be a family portrait, depicting 5 girls or young women, perhaps sisters, or a young mother and her 4 daughters. The painting shows great detail, and is beautifully showcased in a deep-set gilded frame with a wood panel backing. It measures 14" high X 17.5" wide. The medium seems to be oil-on-board.
