Folio, 770mm x 590 mm, bound in modern green cloth; exterior soiled and worn, corners bumped, some fraying/tears to cloth on both front and back panels. Text in French and Russian. With 18 plates, of which 12 in color; plates bright generally, with some smudging to margins and some brittleness to edges. Ex-library copy with no stamps to plates but nevertheless SWAF: library perforated stamps at title page and at page vii "general introduction", brittleness at edges, accession no. ink stamp at dedication page, &c.
