(Early Archaeology : Mediterranean) 1 Vol. Steuart, John Robert....
(Early Archaeology : Mediterranean) 1 Vol. Steuart, John Robert. A Description of Some Ancient Monuments, with Inscriptions, Still Existing in Lydia and Phrygia. London: James Bohn, 1842. Folio, later pebbled red buckram; worn. With altogether 17 plates, i.e. one (1) plate inscriptions and sixteen (16) tinted and mounted lithographs ("Plate XVI: "Tomb of Solon" bound as frontis as called for in binder's instructions); litho plates generally clean, some light toning and scattered foxing to margins. Errata slip bound in, 14 pages text with some even browning.
A nice example of this work, but ex-library and SWAF including some early archival tape repairs to sheets at verso (but not affecting plates), and potential brittleness and proneness to chipping at sheet edges.
