Early Chinese glazed earthenware amphora

Tang Dynasty, high shouldered vessel with tall waisted neck, strap handles applied with four studded bosses, terminating in dragon heads biting the rim, covered overall with a finely crackled translucent glaze of pale yellowish tint stopping above the base to reveal the buff body, 15.5"h x 7.5"w

Condition: Fair, shows significant age and handling, underside of foot drilled for lamp mount, small chips to foot rim, imperfections and soiling to glaze surface
