probably British, 18th century or earlier, oak throughout with detachable hinged top, double paneled sides on stretcher base, two board top with breadboard ends, 29-1/4 x 48 x 26 in. - Provenance: Estate of Paul W. Doll, Jr., Lake Toxaway, North Carolina
Condition Report: possible old restoration to seat (later color at underside and two plugged holes), applied buttressing for rear legs, possibly later?, other typical wear and abrasions with scars and abrasions to top
