Original photograph of Brautigan at high-school age taken by himself a in coin operated booth, apparently needed for an application of some kind. The photo was taken around 1953, and is unpublished. There were four photos on the sheet; one used for the application (lost), two in the Bancroft Library, and this one. Provenance: Edna Webster, Brautigan's surrogate mother. One of the earliest photos of Brautigan known to exist.
Condition Report: A hint of edgewear; near fine.
