Early medieval Gold Pendant - 30×25×0 cm - (1)

Extremely rare gold pendant in the shape of a cicada. Triangular in shape, it presents an applique decoration of twisted wires, filigrees and granulations, the two largest constituting the eyes of the insect. Ring on the reverse. Hunnic art, first half of the 5th century. Cicada-shaped jewelry is known from the Hellenistic period to the last third of the 5th century. Consulted work: I.
