A very decorative leaf from a lectionary, a liturgical manual with daily changing Bible readings in Bohairian Coptic, the liturgical language of the Coptic Church. The side with the English annotation is definitely the recto (the front) . The texts on your sheet are: the conclusion of the reading from the Catholic epistles, in this case a famous passage from the first letter of John (preserved is 1 Jn. 2: 13-16) , and on the reverse - after a rubric (in red) - the beginning of the reading from the Acts of the Apostles (7: 35-36, incomplete) . According to the annotation, the leaf comes from the Monastery of Saint Martyr Theodore the Warrior, just west of Medinet Habu.
