Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Guangala, ca. 100 to 500 CE. A fine pottery vessel in the form of a male figure shown standing nude with arms bent at elbows and hands placed above his erect phallus. His giant head presents stylized features with a heavy-lidded, coffee bean-shaped eyes, a huge, curved nose, and a straight mouth, all flanked by a pair of rectangular, pierced ears. Above his visage is a helmet-like headdress with downward extending points at the front and back and an opening at the top leading to the vessel's hollow interior. Size: 2" L x 2.3" W x 5" H (5.1 cm x 5.8 cm x 12.7 cm)
