Eddystone Pattern 14 Bolt Action Rifle .303 British With Bayonet
This P14 Rifle, sometimes referred to as Enfield No.3 Mk1 and Pattern 14 Enfield, was made by Eddystone between 1915 and 1917 for Great Britain during WWI. The rifle is chambered in .303 British and features a guarded blade front sight on a 26" barrel. The receiver is marked "ERA" for Eddystone with the serial number and inspection stamps on the left side. The rear of the receiver is fitted with a rear aperture ladder sight with Mauser style bolt release on the left and safety lever on the right. The stock is likely a replacement as there is no place for the volley sight and missing the stacking swivel. The stock is fitted with sling swivels with tan nylon Enfield style sling and capped off with a steel butt plate with empty storage compartment. Import marks are below the barrel and read "303 P14 USA" with the remaining stamping worn and illegible. Included with the rifle is a 1913 bayonet dated 5-17 and includes a leather and metal scabbard. LOP: 13 1/2". CALIBER/GA: .303 British. S/N: 402598. FFL: Curio & Relic.
Condition
Bore is dark with visible rifling. Mechanics are good.
