Edgar Rice Burroughs Jungle Girl First Edition Hardcover (Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., 1932)....
Edgar Rice Burroughs Jungle Girl First Edition Hardcover (Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., 1932). Burroughs was now publishing his own books, and this scarce first edition was only the second title to come from that new operation. Its modest 5,333-copy run adds considerable appeal, but the real prize here is the original first-state dust jacket. The jacket retains its $2.00 spine price, "Buy a Book a Month" rear-flap promotion, and advertisement for Tarzan the Invincible on the back panel. Studley O. Burroughs provided the jacket artwork along with the frontispiece and five additional full-page illustrations. The story had previously appeared in Blue Book Magazine as "The Land of Hidden Men". The original first-state dust jacket is in Very Good condition, while the book is in Very Good condition. From the Robert “Bob” Barrett Collection.
