Accident with a tear point, restoration (see photo) , Edmond De Koninck was born in Bruges on 6th February 1839 and died in Brussels on 18th March 1883. He was a student at the Bruges Academy. He worked on the restoration of Notre-Dame des Victoires at the Sablon in Brussels. Painter of flowers and still lives, he was also a copier and decorator. De Koninck transposed Flemish tapestries into oil paintings. He studied at the Academy of Bruges. Edmond de Koninck's work were auctioned several times.
