The first, an oval brass tsuba formed as a sinuous dragon, its tail supporting a sacred jewel and curling around to meet its mouth; the second, an oval copper plate chiseled on the surface with an intricate fretwork pattern; the third, a heavy iron plate pierced with large hitsu-ana the outer edges worked to resemble twisted roots and the top and bottom edges of the plate folded over, signed Ki o maru
