Cacatoès Décoratif

Designed in 1927, our example made in 1929
Patinated bronze
Signed Ed M. Sandoz and with the Valsuani cire perdue foundry mark on the base
57 x 15 x 22 cm ; 22 ½ x 5 ⅞ x 8 ⅝ in.

Condition Report:
Good overall condition.
The patinated bronze surface presents with scattered minor surface irregularities which are inherent to the making, as well as light areas of wear and light oxidation mostly in the recessed areas, consistent with the normal aging process of the material.
A close inspection reveals light scattered scuffs and surface scratches, all commensurate with age and none of which are affecting the overall aspect of the sculpture.

A similar model was exhibited on Édouard Marcel Sandoz's stand at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in Paris in 1927.
