Hard boards, original blind tooled leather with gold lettering on spine [some fading and wear, spine leather repairs: see photo]; 6" x 9.1/2"; 140 + 147 + 148 + 159 pages; each of the four volumes has an engraved frontispiece + 4 additional plates, all plates are with tissue guard; all page edges are gilt, some foxing, a few page corner folds, very good condition.
