[ translate ]

Eduard Bargheer (Finkenwerder 1901 – 1979 Hamburg). Forio d'Ischia. 1950

Watercolour and opaque white over pencil on thin glassine. Mounted on cardboard. 44,5 × 62 cm (17 ½ × 24 ⅜ in.). Signed and dated lower left: Bargheer 50.
[3275]

Condition report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The colours fresh and vibrant. The glassine expertly fully mounted onto cardboard; thus stabilising and closing minor substance losses along the edges and two diagonal tears at the upper edge, unobtrusive to the overall appearance. The paper in the mat window with minor time staining and, very isolated, with minuscule foxing. The cardboard backing along the edges with remnants of brown paper tape from former mounting.

Price calculation for this lot: Differential taxation. For private individuals within the EU, we charge a 34% premium on the hammer price, which includes VAT. For buyers who are based outside the EU and export the work from the EU the premium is 29%. For EU-based businesses who are entitled to deduct input tax, standard taxation can be applied. A resale right fee of 4% of the hammer price may also be payable. For additional information please refer to Section 4 of our Conditions of Sale (General Terms of Business of Grisebach GmbH for Timed Auctions).

Eduard Bargheer (Finkenwerder 1901 – 1979 Hamburg). Forio d'ischia. 1950

44,5 × 62 cm (17 ½ × 24 ⅜ in.). Unten links signiert und datiert: Bargheer 50.
[3275]
