A James II ebony striking table clock with gilt metal basket top, square dial engraved chapter ring with strike/silent above XII, matted centre, movement with verge escapement and hour striking on one bell, beautifully engraved backplate with tulips and scrollwork, and the maker's name 'Edward Burgis Londini fecit'.
