From a private American collection, the 7. 25" x 11" inch (18 x 28 cm) work has been attributed to Edward Hopper. This painting comes with its certificate of authenticity “attributed to. . . ” It is a unique piece that was probably a preparatory work for the painting “The Lee shore” (1941) . Hopper is best known for his oil paintings, but a few watercolours remain. The painting comes from a local South Florida collector, Mr. Domingo Padron, who is the retired owner of several art galleries in Florida. Purchased through the Art Antique Auction Gallery.
