Sight size 29 x 39.5cm
Oil on a hardboard support. The support is in plane. The paint layers have localised areas of raised and flaking paint which has led to losses on the surface. The cause of the flaking is unclear but it has not affected the whole painting. The painting is varnished, the varnish has yellowed with age and is noticeable in the brushstrokes in the sky. There are some black splashes near the centre of the painting which do not appear to be part of the composition.
