A copper 'orangist' tobacco tin, Holland, 18th century
The lid engraved with medallions filled with the portraits of King William V (1748-1806) and of his wife Frederica Sophia Wilhelmina princess of Prussia (1751-1820). Between them is an "Orange tree". The sides are engraved "Vivat Oranje" and Oranje booven". On the underside with a flower, symbolising the blooming royal house.
