Marked on the tube: E. Hartnack Potsdam. With an eyepiece number 4, a cross-table by Ernst Leitz Wetzlar and a nosepiece with three object lenses 1/12, 8 and 4. In a case with various additional parts including two eyepieces (number 2, one marked: R. Winkel Göttingen), a box of preparations, various loose attributes and a cross table in box, version: Ernst Leitz Wetzlar 139. The case of the microscope numbered: 25994. Eduard Hartnack (1821-1891) was a well-known German microscope maker, who manufactured his microscopes in Potsdam from 1870 onwards. The microscope was owned by physician G.J. Huët, whose monogram on the lid and card inside still refer to it.
