The lid of the teapot crowned with an embossed rose. The handles both decorated with scrolls and foliage. The bellies of both with panels filled with a hammered decoration of foliage and flowers including roses. Both resting on four cast feet shaped like trusses of grapes. Second grade (835/1000). Manufactured by: J. Balfoort, Utrecht. With year letter X on the teapot: 1857. Gross weight: 545.5 grams.
