Egyptian Amulet Group
Late Period, 664-332 BC. A mixed group of glazed composition amulets comprising: a green pendant of Bes facing with raised dagger, applied yellow detailing; a figure of Babi in baboon guise, pierced flange to the reverse, mounted on a stand. 16.3 grams total, 44-54mm (1 3/4 - 2"). From the private collection of jewellery designer Natalia Josca (1933-2007), New York, USA; her collection formed personally from 1972-early 1980s, much of which was later made into designer jewellery.
