Mainly Late Period, 664-332 BC. A multi-tiered restrung necklace of glazed composition seed beads with gold-in-glass oblate beads to the borders, later sheet gilt metal plaque with repoussé detailing. 82.05 grams, 42cm (16 1/2"). From the private collection of jewellery designer Natalia Josca (1933-2007), New York, USA; her collection formed personally from 1972-early 1980s, much of which she later made into designer jewellery such as this necklace.
