Egyptian Faience Bead Necklace w/ Papyrus Pillar

Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A lovely necklace of a wearable form that is constructed from dozens of petite faience seed-form and tubular beads. The central portion of the necklace has several tubular beads dangling down until reaching the central papyrus scepter pendant that is covered in lime green glaze. The terminals are capped with a modern sterling silver loop and bar clasp combo that enables wearability. Size (necklace): 19.125" L (48.6 cm); (papyrus scepter pendant): 0.33" W x 1.07" H (0.8 cm x 2.7 cm); silver quality: 93.04%

Condition Report: Wearable as shown and strung in modern times. Faience beads and pendant are ancient; stringing and sterling silver components are modern. Minor nicks and pitting to some beads, with light fading to glaze pigment, otherwise intact and very good. Nice preservation to glaze pigment throughout.
