Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A wearable necklace composed with 2 conjoined strands of glazed faience beads in hues of blue, red, cream, turquoise, sage, brown, citrine, and gray. Each necklace strand bears dozens of petite beads in tubular and seed forms. Suspended below the strands is a turquoise-glazed faience ushabti standing inverted while mummiform. Size (necklace strands): 28" L (71.1 cm); (ushabti pendant): 0.55" W x 2.1" H (1.4 cm x 5.3 cm)
