Egyptian Faience Scarab Amulet for Neferu Ra
Ancient Egypt, Second Intermediate Period, 14th to 15th Dynasty, ca. 1725 to 1550 BCE. A petite scarab of ovoid form with a smooth wing carapace and a tapered triangular head, all above a lengthwise suspension perforation. The underside is inscribed with Ra, Uaz, Ka, Nefer, and Udjat, all surrounded by a single line, that shows this scarab was intended for an individual named Neferu Ra. Faint remains of blue-green glaze are visible across most surfaces. Size: 0.5" L x 0.34" W (1.3 cm x 0.9 cm)

Condition Report: Minor abrasions and nicks to base and scarab body, with light softening to some inscribed hieroglyphs, otherwise intact and very good. Nice remains of glaze and hieroglyphs.
