[ translate ]

Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A fabulous figural pendant that is mold-formed from faience depicting Khnum (also Khnemu), the ram-headed god of the Nile waters, procreation, and fertility. His ram-form head features a condensed snout, bulging eyes, and perky ears framed within the curves of 2 C-shaped horns.
